Djokovic Stays Red Hot

By - Kris Fletcher

Has anyone else noticed that Novak Djokovic is on fire?

Yesterday, he defeated top-ranked Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-4 to win the BNL International Tennis Tournament in Rome. The win runs Djokovic's 2011 record to 37-0, which is the longest winning streak to start a year since John McEnroe went 42-0 to start the 1984 season.

What makes the accomplishment even more impressive is that Nadal entered the title match with a 31-1 lifetime record in Rome, having never dropped a championship match at the event.

Djokovic has now defeated Nadal four consecutive times, including a win at the Madrid final last week.
