In a very entertaining contest that saw a total of 95 balls leave the yard, Robinson Cano won the 2011 State Farm Home Run Derby by defeating Adrian Gonzalez in the finals.

Batting last and being pitched to by his father, Cano hit a finals-record 12 homers, after both he and Gonzalez each hit 20 home runs through the first two rounds.

The previous two winners of the Derby, David Ortiz and Prince Fielder, were both eliminated in the second round, each having hit 9 long balls apiece.

Fielder managed to hit the longest bomb of the contest though, a 474-foot shot to right field.
