Spokesman Carlos Campos said police have secured a murder warrant for the arrest of Crittenton in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Jullian Jones on August 19th. Campos said Crittenton is not yet in custody.

Jones, a mother of four, was walking with a group of people on the city's southwest side when an SUV drove by and someone inside the vehicle shot her, police said.

Investigators say they don't believe Jones was the intended target. Campos said the motive appears to be retaliation for a robbery that took place back in April, in which Crittenton was the victim.

Crittenton didn't play last season because of an ankle injury. He was given a 38-game suspension by the NBA the previous year after he and Gilbert Arenas brought guns into the locker room following a dispute stemming from a card game on a Washington Wizards team flight.
