Bleacher Babe of the Month: September, 2013

By - Kris Fletcher

It's hard to believe that this edition of the Bleacher Babe of the Month marks the one-year anniversary of the initial column.

The original plan was to only run the segment through December of last year. But because of all the positive feedback we received over the first four months, we decided to run it for an entire year. Now here we are, the final installment of the series. Hope you've enjoyed it as much as we've enjoyed bringing it to you.

Time for the main event. So without further ado, I give you Jenny Green!

Hello! I'm Jenny, and I'm really excited to be the Bleacher Babe of the Month for September! The anniversary edition no less!

I grew up in California and made the move to Nashville roughly two years ago. In the beginning I only came to the area to visit a friend, but I liked it so much I decided to stay!

Baseball is my favorite sport, and my favorite team is the Chicago Cubs. My parents always followed them, so I watched them play pretty religiously growing up. I mean, how could you not love Harry Caray?!?

My all-time favorite player has to be Kerry Wood. I used to love watching him do his thing. The guy had a killer curveball! It's a shame he had a hard time staying healthy, because I truly believe he had the kind of stuff that could have made him one of the best pitchers to ever play the game. Even with all the injuries, he still ended up having a solid career.

As far as football goes, I've always pulled for the San Diego Chargers. Again, credit my parents. They were huge Charger fans back in the day.

If I had to pick a favorite football player, I would probably go with LaDainian Tomlinson. I followed his career from start-to-finish, and hated to see him sign with the Jets. It was cool he retired as a Charger, though!

Lately I've really been pushing myself to get in the type of shape that I've always wanted to be in, so I've been working extremely hard to stay fit. I recently got engaged as well, so I honestly couldn't be happier with my life right now! Everything is going wonderfully!

Here's to hoping my Chargers can make a playoff push this season, and my Cubbies can finish the year strong!
