Avril Lets Obscenities Fly at Post-Game Concert

By - Kris Fletcher

Avril Lavigne was all smiles when she threw out the first pitch before last night's Tampa Bay Rays game.

After the game was a different story, as she slung some four-letter words at the crowd when a technical glitch messed up her post-game concert.

According to reports, Avril's mic didn't work at the start of her show, and she responded to the boos by yelling obscenities at crowd.

Afterwards, Rays representative Rick Vaughn said, "The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in the show. It is certainly not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."

I seriously doubt she said anything any worse than what the players on the field can be heard yelling during the course of a game, but she still should have known better.

Shame on you Avril. Report to my room for a spanking.

  5. I was actually at the event, and as usual the press and media blew it way out of proportion.

I was very close to the stage, so I heard EVERYTHING. They gave her a dead mic to start, and she went back and got another mic. It too was dead. After she finished singing What the Hell with two dead mics she went off stage and they handed her a THIRD mic that finally worked and she said, “That’s what can happen when you do a live concert in a f***ing baseball stadium!”

It wasn't a profanity laced tirade as everyone is saying. One F-bomb, that was it. And she apologized for letting that one word slip out right after she said it.

  6. I'm not surprised to hear that the media has made a much bigger deal out of this than what it actually was.

Thanks for clarifing what really went down.
