Man U was lead by their top 3 scorers: Dimitar Berbatov with 22 goals, Javier Hernandez with 20, and team veteran Wayne Rooney with 15. The team was anchored by an outstanding season from goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who gave up only 1.04 goals per game on average. As a whole, they outscored their opponents 111-52.
Manchester United is the greatest football team off all time. WOO WOO MAN U!!!ReplyDelete
I just don't think soccer will ever catch on here in the states, other than being something for kids to play. Professional soccer is awesome. Man U winning their 19th title is a BIG DEAL everywhere BUT in the United States.ReplyDelete
I agree, I played soccer for 8 years, before it was even as popular as it is now, so it's always held a place in my heart. But I think the reason it will never catch on here is there are just too many other options. With football, baseball, and basketball already well established team sports here in the states, it's just hard for people here to latch onto it. And soccer is all about intricacies and strategy, I can watch a match and be entertained, most people here can't.ReplyDelete
