The Joke's on You LeBron and D-Wade

By - Kris Fletcher

In the last 24 hours, video has surfaced of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade mocking Dirk Nowitzki as they left American Airlines Center after Thursday morning's team shootaround prior to Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

In the video, they cough and cover their mouths with their shirts while laughing. At one point, Wade says, "Did y'all hear me cough? I think I'm sick."

For the masses that already hate the Heat, this is just one more nail in the proverbial coffin. For the select few that actually pull for them, they'll say this is something the media has blown way out of proportion.

No doubt the person this is most damaging to is Dwyane Wade. I would say the majority of people in general already thought LeBron was an ass before this video surfaced, but now Wade is cast in that exact same light.

Congrats D-Wade, you're now officially a villain too.

The ironic thing in all this of course is, after their little sophomore class-type joke session, they then went out and got beat 112-103, with James scoring his usual 2 lousy points in the fourth quarter, while Wade spent half the game in the locker room with a hip injury. Even better, the guy they spent the morning mocking once again torched them, dropping in a game-high 29 points.

I suppose all this could be chalked up to karma, if you believe in that sort of thing anyway.

It would be comical to see Dirk do a little mocking of his own at the shootaround prior to Game 6. He could show up wearing a magician's hat, to simulate the disappearing act LeBron does every fourth quarter, or just walk around with a limp, like D-Wade with his injured hip. Which is an injury he probably would have never gotten in the first place, if he didn't "flop" a dozen times every game.

I wouldn't count on seeing Nowitzki stoop to such a level though. He actually possesses something neither James nor Wade have a shred of.

Class.

  1. Too big of a deal is being made out of this. They were just messing around. Dallas fans will have something to really complain about after Miami wins Game 7.

  2. Everyone needs to stop hatin on LeBron and Miami. He's the best player, on the best team, in the league. Period.

  3. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if Miami gets beat, we won't be hearing from the two of you on this site anymore. Just a hunch.

  4. I honestly don't see how ANYONE outside of Florida can possibly be wanting the Heat to win the title.

  5. Shocking. "Blake" and "Will" didn't return to say anything after the Heat went splat. Only fitting I suppose. They prove to be as gutless as LeBron.
